Limb Reconstruction Surgery

Limb reconstruction itself is a more complex subspecialty that involves the correction of deformity that can occur either from acquired conditions such as trauma or infection, or from congenital problems where certain syndromes or problems occurring from birth cause abnormalities of the lower limbs.

Examples of limb reconstruction treatment include

  • Assessment and treatment of leg length discrepancy or difference.
  • Treatment of bow legs or knock knees that cause impairment in function or a long term harmful effect to the lower limb
  • Surgical Correction of Blounts Disease
  • Deformity correction in Achondroplasia
